I need some assistance in learning how to configure a work item to have work item steps. Thank you in advance for your assistance.

Creating Tasks that have task steps is very straight forward.
Using the DataPlace Editor, open the Task Table.
By selecting a current task, or creating a new one, expand the Task Steps sub table by clicking on the + at the beginning of the row.
Add individual rows for each task step you would like the work item to have when it’s created.
Also note, that you can use the Sequence number to control the order of the steps and the DueDateHours to have it automatically set a due date for each step based on the # of hours to add to the start date.
I’ve included a screen shot showing our Support Task and how it creates individual steps to be completed within a specified timeframe to ensure we meet our Service Level Agreements.
